Garden of Words.

*My Activity. My Creation.*

Activity - *Garden of Words.*

Objectives-
(01) To increase the vocabulary.
(02) To develop the proper reading and writing skills.
(03) To develop questioning skill. (04) To develop thinking power & searching power.*

Procedure-
(01) Say to the students to open any one page of their English textbook. (02) Say to the students to write 10 to 15 words in their notebook. OR Say each one to come front to the board and write any one word on the blackboard from textbook. (Write at least 10 to 15 words.)
(03) Write 7 to 8 questions on the chit of paper regarding to words given on the board. for ex. *(a) find the smaller word. (b) find the bigger word. (c) find two/three/four/five/..... letter words. (d) Find the words that started from  the same letter. (e) Find the words that end with same letter. (f) Find the words that have one/two/three/.... vowels. (g) Find the action words. (h) How many letters are there in........ word? (i) How many consonants are there in...... word? (j) How many vowels are there in ....... word?*
(04) Now, call one by one and say him/her to pick up any one chit, read the question and answer it looking at the board.
(05) Give opportunity to all students to participate in the activity and perform.

Learning outcomes~
(01) Students develop their thinking and searching power.
(02) Students acquire and enrich their new vocabulary.
(03) Students develop their proper reading and writing habits.
(04) Students recognise vowels and consonants given in the words.
(05) Students copy the words correctly from textbook.
(06) Students read aloud the words, questions clearly and accurately. (07) Students listen and respond to a chain of instructions, commands and request.
(08) Students write neatly, appropriately, cohesively, coherently and legibly.
(09) Students write with and without support.
(10) Students read with increasing eye-span so as to increase reading speed.
(11) Students listen to the sounds of the words of spoken English.
(12) Students listen to get the central idea and specific information.
(13) Students adopt a listening strategy.
