Describing Words.

                    ~Activity~ 
*Describing words.*

(01) Write some sentences using noun and describing words on blackboard. for ex. -
He is a good boy.
Monkeys have short tails.
I have a pink bat.
These grapes are sour.
You are nice girl.
A square has four sides.
A rabbit is a small animal. etc.*

(02) Say to the students to read the given sentences carefully.

(03) Now,  introduce them about the describing words and nouns. such as- (the words before the nouns tell us about the nouns. They are describing words. It tell us more about the nouns- *shape, size, colour, age, number, taste and how something feels.)*

for ex.
(a) 🌳 Tall tree, 🥦short tree, 🍀green leaf.
(b) 😊Happy boy, 👨‍💼small boy.
(c) red balloon,
(d) sour grapes,
(e)🌕 full moon.* etc.

(04) Now, form a coloum and say them to write the sentences and front of them in column write the describing words and the nouns they describe in the columns.


Here are given some examples.

(01) The king was a kind man.
(02) I read a good story
(03) She drank some hot milk.
(04) Your shirt is dirty.
(05) That lake is deep.
(06) Those cups are full.
(07) Moti is a active dog.
(08) There are two apples on the table.
(09) That is a beautiful peacock.
(10) An elephant is the huge animal.

Let's Think.

*My Activity, My Creations.*

*Thinking* is a *mental attitude* in which we expect *good and favorable* results. When students find and get results, they feel more *happy* and try to get *abstract ideas* from *thinking and guessing.*

    Students are a *quick thinkers* according their *understanding level,* they *pick up* new *informations and ideas* easily if we give them opportunity to *think and guess.*

      Its our *prime role* to make students *to think & guess.*

To develop their *thinking power* we can conduct several *games and activities.*
              Today, I conducted *English activity.* for *std 2nd to 4th.*

 The name of activity is *Listen and guess (Let's think)*

The main aim of this activity is *To listen and guess the riddles.*

Required educational aids~ *Some riddles*(In pictures or in sentences)

*Execution of activity.*~
(01) As a facilator, tell students to listen carefully and guess what am I going to say?
(02)for ex.  (a) *I come after 'R' and before 'T'. Which letter am I?* 

(b) *I like the colour of grass. It is.........*

(c) *What is common between rose and cactus, butterfly and bird?*
(03) Now, say them to think, guess and write my name in your notebook. Answers for ex.(a)~*S* (b)~*green* (c) ~*thorns, wings*

(04) Now, ask them to check the answer of each others.

(05) Encourage to the students to construct riddles according their understanding level.

Here are some riddles. Lets Think and write --

 *(०१) I am a big animal. I have large ears. You can sit on me & have a ride. I have a trunk. Who am I?* *(०२) I eat grass. I give (you) milk. I cry moo. Who am I?

आवडीचे वाक्य तयार करणे.

आज ३री व ४ थी या इयत्तेसाठी इंग्रजी विषयांतर्गत *आवडीचे वाक्य तयार करणे* हा उपक्रम राबविला.

उपक्रमाचा मुख्य हेतू ~
☆चौकटीत आवडीचा शब्द घालून अर्थपूर्ण वाक्य तयार करणे.☆

शैक्षणिक साहित्य ~
शब्दपट्ट्या, वाक्यपट्ट्या, किंवा  वाक्यचौकटी.

कृती ~
(०१) प्रथम फळ्यावर विद्यार्थ्यांना  परिचित असणारे वाक्य लिहून दिले.
(०२) वाक्याचे प्रकट वाचन करून घेतले.
(०३) अपरिचित शब्दांचे उच्चारण करून दिले. (०४) आवडीचा शब्द घालून अर्थपूर्ण वाक्ये कशी तयार करावीत या बद्दल उदाहरणासह योग्य असे मार्गदर्शन केले.  जसे~ Open your bag. या वाक्यामध्ये *Open* ऐवजी *Close* हा शब्द घालून Close your bag. हा नविन अर्थपूर्ण वाक्य तयार होतो. तसेच  Open your bag. या वाक्यामध्ये *your* ऐवजी *his/her/my* हे शब्द घालून Open his bag. Open her bag. Open my bag. असे वाक्ये तयार करता येतात तसेच Open your bag या वाक्यामध्ये *bag* या शब्दा ऐवजी *book, notebook, tiffin* आदि शब्द घालून *Open your book/notebook/tiffin*. आदि अशी अर्थपूर्ण बरीचशी वाक्ये तयार करता येतात.
(०५) शेवटी विद्यार्थ्यांनी स्वत:चा आवडीचा शब्द घालून बरीचशी आवडीची वाक्ये तयार केली.
       
अशाप्रकारे हा उपक्रम शाळेत राबविण्यात आला.

फलनिष्पत्ती ~
(०१) वाक्याचे प्रकट वाचन करता येणे.
(०२) स्वत:चा आवडीचा शब्द घालून अर्थपूर्ण वाक्ये तयार करता येणे.
(०३) नविन वाक्ये तयार केल्याचा आनंद वाटणे. (०४) नविन वाक्ये तयार केल्यामुळे आत्मविश्वास वाढणे.
(०५) शब्दसाठा वाढणे.
(०६) गटात चुकांचे निरसन होणे.
(०७) तर्कशक्ती वाढीस लागणे.

(Open ended)

Objectives~
(01) To use the short descriptions for the given sentences.
(02) To develop the listening'speaking  and reading skills.
(03) To develop the thinking power.*

Procedure~

(01) Make available some uncomplete sentence strips.
(02) Form two equal groups: A and B (03) Call anyone student from the group: A or B.
(04) Ask him/her to close your eyes and pick up any one strip.
(05) Ask him/her to open your eyes and read the sentence loudly. for ex. *Our class monitor is...........*
(06) Now, ask the other/ next/ second group to use meaningful word of your choice in the blank place to make/complete the meaningful sentence. (Ask them to remember to make use of your sense.) for ex. *clever or helpful or nice or bold or strict*
(07) Now ask any one student from the same group to read the given sentence. such as- *Our class monitor is clever.* Now ask to the other group and continue it.
(08) After giving equal opportunity to the both group, declare the winner those group who will have more points on the board.

गमतीचा गुणाकार!!!

मित्रांनो, आज गणित विषयांतर्गत इयत्ता ३री व ४थी साठी *"गुणाकार करणे"* हा उपक्रम राबविला. उपक्रमाचा मुख्य हेतु *"उलट-सुलट संख्या करून गुणाकार केला तरी उत्तर तेच येणार"* हा होता.

प्रथमत: एक उदाहरण घेऊण गुणाकाराची संकल्पना, संबोध स्पष्ट करून दिला. उपरोक्त  कोणत्याही संख्यांच्या जोडीचा गुणाकार केला तर तो समानच येतो. जसे~ १२×४२=५०४ याउलट २१×२४=५०४, १२×६३=७५६ याउलट संख्या घेउन २१×३६=७५६.
अशाप्रकारे गुणाकारक्रिया संकल्पना स्पष्ट करून दिली व विद्यार्थ्यांनी  उपक्रमात सक्रिय सहभाग नोंदविला.

           तसे पाहता अशा संख्यांच्या जोड्या शोधणे फारसे अवघड नाही. त्याची एक सोपी पध्दत आहे, ती म्हणजे *आपल्याला ज्या दोन संख्यांचा गुणाकार करायचा आहे, त्या संख्यातील एककस्थानच्या संख्यांचा गुणाकार व दशक स्थानच्या संख्यांचा गुणाकार हा समान यायला पाहिजे*.
           तर आहे ना मग गंमत मित्रांनो. चला तर मग आपणही अशा संख्या तयार करूया.

मित्रांनो, ३री व ४थी या इयत्तेसाठी मराठी विषयाअंतर्गत *"प्रतिसादात्मक बोलणे"* हा उपक्रम राबविला असता विध्यार्थांनी उपक्रमात सक्रिय सहभाग नोंदविला. उपक्रमाचा मुख्य हेतू *चर्चेत सहभागी होणे व आपले स्वत:चे मत विशद करणे/ मांडणे* हा होता.

*आई आपल्यासाठी काय काय करते?* हा विषय गटात चर्चेसाठी  दिला व मुलांना गटात प्रथम चर्चा करण्यास सांगितले व नंतर प्रत्येक विध्यार्थांना आईविषयी एक-एक वाक्य फलकावर स्वत:च्या शब्दात लिहिण्यास सांगितले असता मुलांनी सुंदर हस्ताक्षरात आईविषयी खूप चांगली वाक्यरचना तयार केली.

मित्रांनो,बरेचसे परिचित विषय गटात चर्चेसाठी ठेवू शकतो. जसे ~मी पाहिलेली जत्रा,  माझी सुंदर शाळा, माझे आवडते शिक्षक, आवडता खेळ आदि.

Take a look at yourself.

My activity, My creation.

*Children need to know what to stand for and what to stand against. This will guide their behaviour and give them a guideline as to what to do and what not to do in their life.* 
       *We can help our students to become a good human being, a good citizen and a successful individual. As teacher we should be a good role model for them, because children emulate parents and teachers. They learn more from examples and actions than words. Our commitment to practice determine the character building of our students.* So  regarding to well manner, well behaviour today I conducted the one activity. The name of this activity is - *Take a look at yourself* for std 4th to  7th.

Objective -
(01) To know about the self.
(02) To think and speak about the truth.
(03) To develop listening and speaking skills.
(04) To develop the thinking power.

Procedure -
(01) Form a pair of two or (Call anyone student to the front.)
(02) Ask to the both or (Ask him/her) are you *serious about your studies, good manners, characters, future, behaviour etc.*
(03) Ask any one from the pair (Ask him/har) some simple questions regarding to *his/her studies/ behaviour/ character/ good manners* etc. for ex.

*(a) How much time do you spend on your studies? (b) Do you complete your assignment well in time? (c) How do you do your assignments? (d) What do you read for your studies? (e) Do you study in a planned manner? (f) Do you discuss studies with others? (g) Why do you think you should study? (h) Do you get angry when someone switch off the TV? (i) Why do you go to school? (j) Which lessons have not read/missed today? (k) When you greet your teachers, parents and elder person what you say?. (l) Are you responsible person? (m) There are four magical words that we use to be polite. Do you know what these magical words are? (n) How should you behave if someone is rude to you? (o) Your friend lends you a book. What you say him/her at that time? (p) Somebody steals your pencil/pen what will you do? (q) There is an injured animal outside your home. what will you do? (r) How do you feel when you share your food/toys/things with your friends? (s) What do you use to comb your hair? (t) Tell some things we use to keep ourselves clean. (u) How long do you sleep? etc.*

(04) Those who gives right answer declare one point.
(05) Those who is not able to answer the question, repeat the same question to other partner.
(06) Give equal opportunity to the both.
(07) Those who have more points declare the winner.

Actions.

My activity, My creation.

The learning level of the students enhance through various practices. Teacher make the students learn through various language games, mathematical games and activities with learning by doing.
            English is the *skill based* subject and *skills achieved through ample practice.* In order to make *learning process more joyful,* teacher adopt *innovative practices, games & several activities.* On this base today, I conducted *English activity* for *std 1st to 4th.* The name of this activity is  *Actions.*

Main aims of this activity ~
(01) To describing ongoing actions  (Using I am....., He/She is....)
(02)  To enhance the power of concentration and increase the level of self-confidence.
(03) To  introduce to body language. (04) To create awareness about physical fitness.
(05) To follow the instructions.
(06) To increase activeness through imitative movements.
(07) To inculcate interest.

Required educational aids~
*Action Word strips.*

*Proceeding*~
(01) First teacher introduce some action words with actions/while acting. for Ex. *Walking, running, jumping, skipping, dancing, reading, writing etc.*

(02) Practice it four to five times with students. for ex. *I am walking, I am running, I am jumping etc.*

(03) Say students to do or mime actions.

 (04) Now, ask/say them to describe what they are doing. ex. *I am jumping, I am skipping, I am running, I am singing etc.*

(05) Let other students point to a child and observed.

 (06) Ask them what's he/she doing? say them to give answers. for ex. *He/She is jumping, He/She is reading/writing/eating/drinking/washing.etc*

Expected learning outcomes~
(01) Students know and understand the action words.
(02) Students enhance their vocabulary.
(03) It gives an opportunity to the students for free expression and taking joy through it.
(04) Students develop their observation skill.
(05) Students knows and identify different types of actions.
(06) Students gain recreation and pleasure through physical movement.
(07) Students achieve concentration and mental peace with overcoming stress & strains.
(08) It is very useful to develop the hidden talent among students by knowing it.
(09) Students develop their confidence, creativity and abilities.*

 This activity is based on *learning by doing.*

We can also adopt this activity for *the subject Physical education.*

What are they?

Students are *more creative, innovative and imaginative. So at primary stage free expression of students are expected.  Here free and natural atmosphere play key role to develop the abilities of students.
         
               To develop the abilities and free expression I conducted this activity for standard 2nd, 3rd and 4th)
         The name of this activity is -- *What are they?*
                   
               *(Let's discuss)*

Aim of this activity--
*To know the objects/things surrounding us & discuss about it.*

Required educational aids-- *Objects,things which found in our surroundings.*

Proceeding--
(01) First collect objects, things which found in our surroundings. For ex. Textbook, Sticks, Glass, Stones, duster, trees, umbrella etc.*

(02) Now, Introduce the objects, things to the students.*

(03) Now, say one student to come ahead/forward and give many things/objects to many students. for ex. stick, glass of water, Balloon, textbook, pen etc.*

(04) While giving things, objects, say him/her to use the words related to things/objects & let's discuss about it. Such as,*

 (Textbook--It/This is a *textbook.* Its for you. Read it carefully. It is beautiful having fun and good information. There are beautiful pictures in this textbook. Do you like/want? Do you like to read it?

*Glass*-- This/It is a glass. Its for you. we use it to drink water. Fill water and drink.

(03) Students create awarness about things/objects.
